Introducing Gold Membership launch
We are proud to introduce our new Winnit Gold Membership! As of today, April 12, 2010, our users will have the opportunity to upgrade to a new level of membership, which will include a number of great benefits. Our Gold Members will now have the option to purchase items at their retail prices after deducting the cost of credit bids placed in our “Winnit Now” auctions, which will be marked with a symbol on our homepage. For example, if a Gold Member is bidding on a MacBook Pro (retail price: $1,599) and has spent $50 on bids, but loses the auction, he or she will now have the ability to put that $50 toward the purchase of the product, which in this case would make the final price $1,549 through Winnit. This new feature will allow Gold Members to spend the same amount they would have in a store, but first grant them the ability to try and win the item for a fraction of the cost on Winnit!
In addition, Winnit will also offer our Gold Members a smaller hint range, which will aid in the development of each member’s strategy. As opposed to the standard 25 cent range that all members currently receive after placing a bid, Gold Members will now receive a hint range of just 15 cents. Shrinking the hint range will allow our Gold Members the ability to wipe out the current Lowest, Unique Bid with only $15, saving you $10 every time!

As of today, February 15th, 2010, Winnit will offer bid packages in various denominations as a way to fill user accounts. You will notice a change in your account as Winnit will now measure account balances using Winnit Bucks as opposed to US dollars (the fee-per-bid on each auction will also be updated accordingly).
Bid Packages will allow members to save money on the bids they will use to win products, trips and more! The higher the Bid Package, the less you will pay per bid.

Winnit Members
We have received a number of emails about the need for a limit on the number of auctions one member may win during a set time period. As always, we appreciate all of the feedback that you provide and we are committed to acting accordingly. As of Sunday 29th of november, 2009 at 12:00am EST, Winnit.com will introduce a new rule limiting the number of wins that a single member may accumulate in a week to 10. Each 7-day period will begin at 12:00am EST Sunday and run through the following Saturday at 11:59pm EST.
The introduction of this new Limit Rule is not to discourage our members who have crafted excellent strategies during their time on Winnit, but to allow as many users as possible to take advantage of the incredible deals that are available through our auctions. We encourage you to continue speaking up and letting us know what you think of the site. We are constantly striving to improve Winnit and we would not be able to do it without you!
